Superintendent Update 9/14/2020

As we finished up Week 2 of the school year, we are beginning to see some issues arise with student participation in the days they are not attending school in the Hybrid model in the middle school and high school.  Please check in and have a discussion with your child(ren) if they are not Zooming in on a consistent basis if they are middle or high school students.

Overall our numbers are beginning to stabilize in Stearns County.  The number continues to hold just under the threshold of going to phase 3 of our policy options. This past week the number was 19.64. Stearns County Public Health projects this number is leveling off at the moment. We will see in the coming weeks the impact the Labor Day weekend will have on these numbers since it is a 14-day look back.  At this time I would anticipate we would stay in our current phase at least for another 2 weeks.

We also ask that you please continue to monitor your child(ren)’s health before you send them off to school. Also, make sure to wash their masks on a weekly basis to keep them clean.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
