We made it through our polar vortex of the last couple of weeks.  Hopefully, the sub-zero days are behind us as our numbers continue to improve.

The number this past week is 19.07.  Current projections for next week will show this number to continue to have a small decline.  We have hit another plateau as we did when the case rates hovered around the 40 mark for positivity rates.

We will continue to see some “hot” spots of COVID-19 outbreaks in our district, county and state regions.  There are a number of reasons why this will happen.  However, as we continue to get more people vaccinated, these hotspots will show a lesser impact on the numbers.

Nothing at this time changes in regard to all of the mitigation measures we have in place.  We need to continue to wear masks in schools and at all events and activities in our district.   We have turned the corner on our ability to get all students in school on a daily basis and have all activities in place. Please continue to partner with the school to keep on our current plan to serve all of our students.

We continue the roll-in process this week to bring our students back to school on a full-time basis:

I would also like to take the opportunity to communicate that this week is School Board Appreciation Week.  Our School Board has shown, especially this year their dedication to serving our students and athletes during the pandemic.  Please join me in showing our appreciation to our School Board for their outstanding leadership during this pandemic year.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
