Melrose Area School is excited to present: Disney's The Little Mermaids as our musical this fall! Students in grades 7-12 are invited to audition!
Audition Dates:
First Round: (Plan to attend either day.)
Wednesday, September 2nd at 3:10 pm
Thursday, September 3rd at 3:10 pm
Callbacks:
Friday, September 4th at 3:10 pm
Audition Expectations:
The first round of auditions are for everybody.
-Participants will be asked to sing something about 16-32 bars long (around 30 seconds.) Music can be from 'The Little Mermaid,' broadway musical style, or anything that showcases your range and ability. Piano accompaniment is available if sheet music is provided. Disney selections would work great!
-Participants will be asked to recite something brief from memory. Then we will ask you to change it or modify it in some way. (Think nursery rhymes, short poems, etc.)
These auditions take place in small groups of 10 or less.
Callbacks Info:
Not everyone will be asked to come to callbacks, but those who are, will be asked to sing, dance & act.
Participants asked to callbacks will have their name posted in the school at designated locations.
Everyone who auditions is in the show! Even those who don't participate in callbacks.
Cast and roles will be posted in the school at designated locations. Practice begins on Tuesday, September 8th.
