We were hoping to get county and district numbers this week but the county did not get the data from the state.  This information was very useful last year in seeing how COVID spreads in the county and allows districts to make some strategic decisions.

Many of you may have heard that a significant testing opportunity is being rolled out to the districts through the state.  Students will have the opportunity to get tested at school and get the results back very quickly.  This is yet another opportunity for mitigation within our schools to keep students and staff safe.

The recommendation is still for all students and staff to wear masks when we return to school this fall. We not only want to return to school as normal as possible but we want to keep our students in school.  We will need to continue to monitor the numbers the closer we get to the start of school to determine if there needs to be adjustments in our plan.  However, masks are still required on our school buses, both regular routes, and activities.  Please make sure that your child is wearing a mask next week if your child rides the bus.

We will be offering a vaccination clinic during our Open House on Tuesday night.  This clinic is sponsored through CentraCare and it will be located in our ITV room in the high school.

There will be a School Board meeting Monday (8/23) in the HS media.  Just a reminder that the starting times have changed. The Open Forum is now from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.  The Regular School Board meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
