We still did not receive the updated numbers for our county/schools last week.  There is an alternative website out there that does use some of the same data to create the same metrics that we used last year.  However, I will wait for the numbers from the state that are going to be more accurate.   It was stated last week that our overall state positivity rate jumped above 5% (5.3% to be exact) for the first time since last spring.

As we get close to finishing up our last day of school I can tell you for the most part, students are very happy to be back at school. We are still strongly recommending that all students wear a mask and that mask-wearing is required on bus transportation.

Please make sure to read the articles in the Star Post in regard to the Community Task Force Committee and the recommendations they made to the School Board Last week. Only recommendations were brought to the board for consideration.  The School Board will need to make a decision before early October on whether or not to pursue a bond referendum next spring.  A survey will be done in our community starting next week in regard to the recommendations.  Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions on this possible project.

One quick note.  We recently had a new phone system installed in our school.  This new digital system replaces the old analog system.  It may take a week to get everything updated including voicemail capabilities.  If you are unsure that your voicemail was received, please follow it up with an email.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
