The positivity rate is now at 7.2% in the State of Minnesota as communicated to us at the Stearns County Public Health Zoom conference last week. In the latest comparable numbers to last year's metrics, we are now at 126.5.  This is the first drop in the positivity rate we have had since we started tracking the numbers this fall. As reported last Thursday in a ranking of Stearns County school district positivity rates of 1 being the highest rate, Melrose remains is now at number 2.  Although we are at number 2, there are four other districts within 2.8 points of Melrose.

There will be a Flu/COVID Vaccine clinic at the school on Tuesday, November 9.  The CentraCare Melrose will be doing the vaccine clinic on 11/9 from 4-7 pm in the ITV room. All students will need permission from their parents/guardian to receive either vaccine.

Our numbers continue to remain low within our buildings. Although we have plateaued, we have plateaued at a high level.  The occupancy rate in local and regional hospital numbers continues to be high.  With the numbers slowly coming down we will begin to look at relaxing some of our mitigation strategies in our buildings.

Our numbers from last week:
