At our Stearns County Public Health meeting last Thursday it was reported the positivity rate is at 8%. If you recall from last year, anytime this number is over 5% it is a very high transmission rate. The data posted on the jwolfson site is now being posted from two weeks ago when the number was at 229.6 when compared to last year’s number.

There has been no relief in the medical facilities, they continue to be beyond capacity.  As discussed in the past, we need to take a community perspective on what can be done to slow down this latest surge.  There is information coming out about the new Omicron variant but it is too soon to predict the impact of this new variant.  As with all of the variants in the past it is still recommended that you get the vaccine to protect yourself and the community at large.

Just a reminder as you plan forward, February 25, 2022, will be an E-Learning Day.

Also, please note a “draft” of the 2022-2023 school calendar has been posted at our website.  This draft can be found by going to the menu and noting it is listed under district information.  If you have any questions or comments on the calendar please email me.
