We did have a Stearns County Public Health meeting last week and a lot of information was shared out by local health officials.  The transmission rate with the Omicron variant is very high. It is currently 100x what is considered elevated spread.  If you follow the numbers on the jwolfson site you will see the numbers continue to go up.  There is still talk of a peak coming soon but it may be a couple of weeks out.  Even once we hit the peak, it will be weeks before we get to acceptable levels of transmission.

Please continue to do anything that you can to slow the spread of this latest variant. This continues to be very beneficial to our health organizations and for those needing health services not related to the pandemic.

If you are not aware there is a site to order free at-home COVID tests. The website is https://www.covidtests.gov/ It may take a week or two to receive the tests. All information needed is on this website.

We are also being told that n95 masks will soon be available at your local pharmacy.  As of now CVS and Walgreens will be some pharmacies distributing the masks.  We are also expecting as a school district to receive some n95 masks that can be distributed to 6-12 students and staff.

February 25, 2022, will be an E-Learning Day.

Also, please note a “draft” of the 2022-2023 school calendar has been posted on our website.  This draft can be found by going to the menu and noting it is listed under district information. We have made some subtle changes to the calendar.  If you have any questions or comments on the calendar please email me.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
