We had a great end of the year.  All grade levels and classroom celebrations went very well.  Graduation, the parade, and the lock-in all went very well.  We could not have asked for better weather on the day and evening of graduation. I want to thank all of the parents/guardians for your support throughout the year.  Please enjoy your summer!

There will be an article in the Star Post next week on a part of the Bond Referendum project.  This article will focus on the needs of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) area and other programs located in this area. In the CTE area, we have traditional courses in woods and metals.  We also have courses in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Auto Tech, Electronics, Small Engines, Ag Courses, and Family and Consumer Science (FACS), to name a few of the courses we offer in this area. Anyone that has tried to find an electrician or carpenter recently knows they are difficult to find.

We take great pride in these programs and want to make sure that students have the opportunity along with the appropriate facilities and teaching spaces to learn the skills in all the areas listed above.  I have talked to many people who have graduated from Melrose High School over the last couple of months. Past graduates have mentioned that the CTE spaces haven't been updated in over 50 years.  Now is the time to invest in future graduate careers.

Please make sure you read the article for other information on our CTE spaces.

We have scheduled a number of community meetings for presentations on the bond referendum information.  See the dates/locations below for a meeting that is convenient for you to attend.

I want to continue to make a standing offer on my part to be in attendance at the request of any individual or group of people that have questions on the bond referendum. I want to keep my calendar fairly open for the summer to attend to any requests. I do have standing meetings on my calendar so I cannot grant every request but I would like the opportunity to see if any other date would work.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
