At our facility open houses we had a few people that came in for a tour of the buildings and grounds.  They had either been to the community meetings or viewed the castomatic presentation on our website. They wanted to see many of the items that were discussed in both the CTE areas and activities areas.  The requested areas to see were the lack of restrooms in the DCD areas. Updates needed to the current metal and wood shops were also viewed. The auto tech area in the garage was more of a needed area than most people on the tour were aware of from the presentations.  Many people were aware of the needed updates to the pool area.  They have been to swim meets and were aware of the age of the pool and the lack of capacity n the spectator area.  Many people on the tour were surprised at the size of the cracks on the tennis courts.  These tours allow people to get a firsthand look at the needed updates to our facilities.

I continue to get calls from people seeing or hearing information that is out on other social media sites or is being distributed through ads, articles, and brochures.  These other forms of information have elicited some great conversations.  I have even had the opportunity to visit some households and farms to have these conversations. It has been a great experience to meet people within the district and share with them the information we have put together.

I want to continue to caution you on the tax calculator located on our website.  Attempting to use this for ag land will not give you accurate information.  It states on the website to reach out to Ehlers directly with your questions on calculating the tax impact of ag land. Calculation of the tax impact on ag land is very complicated.  There are numerous factors that go into this calculation.  Here are the direct contacts for Ehlers:
