Last week was certainly a challenge with the weather. We did run into a couple of issues with the communication going out on some of the media that we use. Please don’t rely upon one source for information. Even with our Appetgy system, it may be delayed because of your cell service and traffic on your carrier. We do continue to put it on our website and other media such as radio and TV stations. The easiest way to stay up to date on school closings is to make sure we have your phone number in our student system. We do a push notification that is sent directly to your phone if we have your information.
Please continue to monitor our website, more new information will be put on the website on the bond referendum. A new video should be on our website and pushed out through social media this week. The December 14 radio interview is also on the website. We have our community meetings coming up in January. Just a note you can go to any of the community meetings, not just the one nearest to your home. The weather may cause a cancellation of a meeting.
Please note that absentee voting will start on January 3, 2023.
As with the first referendum, I am available to give a short tour of the facilities upon request. We had our first public tour last Friday and our next one is scheduled for January 24. Even though it is a busy time of the year with the holiday season if you send me an email with dates and a time I can see if my schedule would be open for a tour of the facilities.
