New Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Offering for Spring: Taste of Preschool
Designed for children not yet attending traditional preschool, this class introduces key skills for school readiness, including early literacy, social development, fine motor skills, and problem-solving. Requirement: 3 years old by September 1, 2024.

Melrose Area NHS hosted the annual Red Cross Blood Drive today! At this event, there were over 60 people who rolled up their sleeves and helped others. We are thankful for the Red Cross Staff, the students, and Melrose School Staff who were able to help out. Great job! #DutchmenPride


Congratulations to the Melrose Area Knowledge Bowl Team - AA State Champions! The Dutchmen Team dressed up to attend dinner last night. From left to right: Malachi Piche, Derick Rademacher, Lydia Prout, Andrue Stalboerger, Eric Sundermann. Head Coach, Mr. Leraas and Assistant Coach, Mr. Hoyt, along with alternate Ramona Lurken-Tvrdik were also present. Last night, the Dutchmen Team took first place after the written round. Today, the Dutchmen Team dominated, never losing their first place status, always competing against the top teams. See the attached scores. Yay, Dutchmen! Reminder: Today there is a second tornado drill at 6:45pm. This is part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, and the goal of the drills is to get people thinking about where they can find shelter when there are severe thunderstorms — and possibly tornadoes — throughout the rest of the year. Today is Minnesota's State Tornado Drill. Sirens will sound at 1:45 pm and at 6:45 pm. Students at Melrose Area Schools will take part in the drill at 1:45 pm. Please talk with your families about how to stay safe in tornados.

Melrose Area Knowledge Bowl Team was honored at a pep fest yesterday, where they participated in a mock meet against a group of teachers and seniors. Our amazing Knowledge Bowl Team won the mock meet! Local EMS will escort the Knowledge Bowl Team out of town today at 4:30pm. All are welcome to join in cheering our team! #DutchmenPride
