Trick or Treaters are welcome to stop at participating Melrose businesses between 3-6pm today to get treats! Each participating business will have a "Trick or Treaters Welcome" sign on their door.

Today is National Candy Corn Day! Did you know candy corn has been around for more than 100 years, with the same look, taste, and design?
Candy corn was created in the 1880's by George Renninger, an employee of the Wunderle Candy Company in Philadelphia. Originally called 'Chicken Feed,' the candy was designed to resemble corn kernels and targeted towards farmers. The tri-colored treat with the unique design and sweet taste became popular, and in 1900, the Goelitz Confectionery Company (now known as Jelly Belly) began mass producing candy corn, which helped solidify its status as a seasonal treat associated with Halloween.

Boys & Girls in PreK to 6th grade are invited to join 2025-26 Centre Mat Defenders Youth Wrestling! Registration & Pictures will be Tuesday, November 4th at 6pm at the Sauk Centre Armory. Practices will be Mondays & Thursdays, from 6-7:30pm at the Sauk Centre Armory, beginning on December 1st, and the season will go into March. We are excited to announce our 2024 State Champion, Lanna Walter, will be coaching youth girls! The cost for this activity is $50, and includes a t-shirt. Melrose Area Community is proud to support the 'Blessing Box,' located at CentraCare Melrose Campus, near the Specialty Entrance. This outdoor pantry has food, household & personal care items. Community members are welcome to donate or take items anonymously.
