Staff Sergeant Shaun Wiese visited our school, talking to Culinary 1 and Advanced Culinary students about nutrition in the military. Our Advanced Culinary Class had a competition, creating meals from military MRE packs. The winning meal was Mexican Chicken Stew with Rice, Fruit and Ice Cream Parfait - complete with chocolate sauce and Combos. Team members Ashley Botello, Miguel Abonce Garcia, Juan Martinez Ayala, and Dominic Leukam won sweatshirts and gas cards for their efforts. Special thanks to Staff Sergeant Wiese for his service to our country and for teaching our students about nutrition in the military!
