
Wednesday was Election Day in third grade! After hearing speeches from each candidate, students voted for a class president and vice president. We also have class reps.

5th grade artists studied the paintings of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso for Hispanic Heritage Month. Students learned about Picasso's use of "Cubism" as well as his series of blue-themed paintings from an era called the "Blue Period". They focused on a painting titled "The Old Guitarist", and were inspired to make their own funky blue guitar collages.
Los artistas de quinto grado estudiaron las pinturas del artista español Pablo Picasso para el Mes de la Herencia Hispana. Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre el uso de Picasso del "cubismo", así como su serie de pinturas con temas azules de una era llamada el "Período azul". Se enfocaron en un pintura titulada "El viejo guitarrista", y se inspiraron para hacer sus propios collages de guitarra azul funky.
