Melrose Area Schools 7th and 8th Grade Students are having a great time on their Washington DC trip. So far, they have visited sites such as the Washington Monument, The White House, and Arlington National Cemetery. Students were able to visit with one of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. #DutchmePride

Melrose Riverfest will be June 27-29 this year! We'll have a Car Show, Kickball, Dance, Pedal Pull, 1K/5K, Bounce Houses, Shopping Vendors, Parade, Fireworks, Sunday morning Worship in the Park and More! A big thanks to Lauren Hinnenkamp, who designed the shirt for the Elf Musical last Fall, for taking the time on her last day of school to paint the logo for the musical on the senior wall in the auditorium. The logo was then signed by Lauren and fellow seniors Meadow Schaefer, Jonathan Renteria Raya, and Logan Schad, who acted in the musical. #DutchmenPride

Congratulations to the Class of 2025! After the 7pm Graduation Ceremony this evening, there will be a parade for our seniors at approximately 8pm. The graduation parade will leave the north entrance of the elementary school, going north. The parade will turn left onto 9th St NE, left onto Highlands Blvd NE, left onto Mustang Ln NE and left onto 1st Ave NE, right onto 5th St NE, left onto 3rd Ave NW, right onto Railroad Ave NW, left onto 5th Ave NW, past the nursing home, Left onto Main Street, going through the 4 way stop, turning left by Melrose Fitness, heading west (left) down Riverside Ave and ending at the Riverside Car Wash. Congratulations to the Track & Field Team, who participated in the Section Meet yesterday at St. John's University! We are excited about the athletes who qualified for the State Meet as well! Our 4 x 400 Relay Team will race at the State Meet: Kendall Jaenicke, Damien Ramirez, Brady Kuhlmann, Logan Rue & alternate David Raya Ambriz. Three athletes will participate in the State Meet for Pole Vault: Josie Eveslage, Grant Eveslage, and Andrue Stalboerger. And, Kendall Jaenicke will participate in the 400 M Run, the 200 M Run, and the Long Jump! Way to go, Dutchmen!! #DutchmenPride
