Melrose Area Speech Team had an early morning on February 28th to attend the Stillwater Mid-Year Tournament! We are proud to announce individual championships for Aidan Kluempke in Discussion, Esther Kapsner in Ex. Reading, and Teague Dusha in Great Speeches!!
The team appreciated the high level of competition, especially as one of the few Class A schools in attendance. We celebrated our achievements with a team feast in Maple Grove!

Let's celebrate our Fusion Boys Swimming & Diving Team as they head to the State Meet! Cheer for our team as they are escorted out of town by our local EMS! The team will depart Melrose Area School at 7:45am! Go Fusion!!

Congratulations to our Knowledge Bowl Teams!! Melrose Area competed in the Region 7 Class A Subsection Meet yesterday, at SCSU.
Melrose Team 1: Eric Sundermann, Logan Kelzer, Ramona Lurken-Tvrdik, Andrue Stalboerger, and Nina Prout, won the meet!
Melrose Team 2: Zach Nelson, Terry Clinton, Hailey Hammond, Bryce Moscho, and Mathew Stalboerger, placed fourth.
Both teams advance to the Region 7 Finals on March 10, at SCSU.
The Melrose Teams received the Spirit award, chosen by the coaches!!
Coach Leraas was honored to be recognized by his coaching colleagues as he received Class A Region 7 Coach of The Year.
