Congratulations to Defenders Wrestlers Isaac Frericks and Afton Vogt, who represented Sauk Centre- Melrose Schools at the State Tournament! On Friday, Isaac Frericks won his opening match by a fall. In the quarterfinals, Frericks lost 12-8. In the wrestle backs, Frericks won 1-0. On Saturday, Isaac Frericks lost his match by a fall at 4:31. At the girls State wrestling tournament, Defenders freshman Afton Vogt wrestled Saturday, and lost her opening match 9-3. Vogt won her next match by a fall at 3:17. Afton Vogt took 5th place at State, winning her last match by a fall at 2:35. We are so proud of these students!
Trap Team will be hosting an Open House Meeting tonight! Students in grades 8-12 who are interested should join us in the HS Cafe tonight from 5:30-7pm. New members should allow 30 minutes, while returning members can allow 15 minutes. All students must have a Firearm Safety Certificate.
