Melrose Area Public Schools

Due to incoming winter weather, all afterschool activities are Melrose Area Schools are cancelled today, November 25.
All practices and games have been cancelled.
DEC will remain open until 6:00 pm.

Melrose Area 6th Graders were able to make fruit kabobs, an amazing and fun way to eat fruit. All students were eager to participate and super excited to eat the healthy snack that they made themselves.

Melrose Area 7th Grade Students experimented in the kitchen when making their first recipe of 2nd quarter. Half the class used store bought refrigerated pizza dough, while the second half made their dough from scratch. Both types of pizzas were topped with sweet green bell peppers and turkey pepperonis, and all students gave good reviews! Mmm!

Join us in Melrose on Friday, November 28th for the 2025 Melrose Area Holiday Kickoff! From the Medallion Hunt at noon, to the crafts and rides downtown, there will be lots of fun! The parade on Main Street begins at 7:30pm, and fireworks will follow! From music to Santa to cookies & hot chocolate, it will be a great day in Melrose!

Melrose Area Middle School Students & Staff celebrated one of our own today. Seventh grader, Miranda, was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2023. She has been through many ups and downs. Miranda finished all treatments and is now cancer free. We proudly celebrated her win in her battle against cancer.

Melrose Area Culinary Arts Students had a Chili Cook-off last Friday! There were four teams who created chili for the competition. Staff were able to test the chili and were encouraged to rate them! The best chili went to '3 Senior 1 Junior' team, with second place going to 'The Four Hot Chili Peppas.'
