The Melrose Cross-Country Team is hosting the 6th Annual Elementary Fun Run prior to their scheduled home meet next Tuesday, September 20th at the Meadowlark Golf Course. The one mile race, which is run on the golf course, is open to all 3rd – 6th grade students and will start at 4 pm. Awards will be given to the Top 10 finishers in both the boys and girls divisions, with participation ribbons going to all finishers. Entry into the race is free of charge - come and join in! This is a chance for students of all abilities to come and take part in an enjoyable activity and to see what Cross-Country running is all about!

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Explorers is a program that offers our local youth, ages 15-21, the opportunity to experience law enforcement by giving them a first-hand view of operations, procedures and tactics. More so, our program helps teach our youth trust, honor, self-confidence and integrity…to name a few. Members of our post will have the opportunity to participate in ride-alongs with our deputies as well as work various public events within our community. If you know a young person who might benefit from this, please share this information!
