Melrose Area Schools held a Pep Fest this morning for our Girls Swimming & Diving Team, who are headed to the State Meet! We are wishing this team luck! The Girls Swimming & Diving State participants include: Chloe Viere, Jaelyn Mayers, Annika Frieler, Georgia Anderson, Maddi Kraemer, Lauren Reed, Brooke Ruoff, Anika Berscheit, Josie Eveslage. The team is coached by Nathan Meyer, Madi Brinkman, Jasmine Fleischhacker, and Carolyn Moscho. Also honored at the Pep Fest were the following athletes for their 2025 Spring Sport accomplishments: Izzie Van Beck for Girls Golf, Andrue Stalboerger for Pole Vault, and Josie Eveslage Pole Vault. All three of these athletes participated in the State Meet this past spring.

Veterans Day, which began as Armistice Day in 1919 to commemorate the end of WWI on November 11, 1918, became a federal holiday in 1938, honoring WWI veterans and celebrating peace. In 1954, after WWII and the Korean War, the holiday was renamed Veterans Day to honor all U.S. military veterans, past and present.

Congratulations to our Dutchmen Girls Swimming & Diving Team on a Section 6A Runner Up Finish! The girls battled it out and were edged out by Sartell by a mere five points. Big congratulations to our senior captains: Ava Smith, Brooke Ruoff, Maddi Kraemer, Georgia Anderson, and Ava Wensmann!
Heading to the State Meet are the following relays: Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay.
Individuals going to the State Meet are: Lauren Reed- 200 Free & 100 Free, Josie Eveslage- Diving, Brooke Ruoff- 100 Backstroke.
We are so proud of this team!
