Melrose Area Schools' Culinary 1 Classes had their first experience tossing food in the pan as they made their own bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches on English muffins, made from scratch. German Students visiting from Bühl even got in the game, flipping eggs. Meanwhile, Students in Advanced Culinary gained some experience with good ole Louisiana Cajun cooking, as the students made Shrimp Étouffée, served over rice. Some dishes certainly were spicier than others! This recipe was a winner! #DutchmenPride

Melrose Area Dutchmen Gymnasts will be honored today at a pep fest before they are escorted out of town, at noon, by local EMS. After earning the highest score of their season, our team was the Section 8A Gymnastics Runner Up Team! Next up: Gymnastics State Individual Day on Saturday, February 22nd at 11am! Competing at State are individuals: Josie Eveslage, on bars (Section Champ) and beam, Maria HInnenkamp on bars, beam and floor, Celia Schoenberg on bars and floor, and Gabby Schoenberg on floor. Fantastic night for the Dutchmen boys basketball program! All 3 levels took home wins! Tonight we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of our state championship team & the Dutchmen Booster Club had the alumni participate in a shootout at halftime. Congratulations to the Fusion Swimming and Diving team on winning the West Central Conference Championship tonight! The 200 Medley Relay team of Alex Wilwerding, Sevrin Anderson, Grant Eveslage and Sam Stangler set a new West Central Conference and Sauk Centre Pool Record. Andrue Stalboerger set a new West Central Conference, Fusion and Sauk Centre pool record in Diving (11 Dives). The Fusion won 10 out of 12 events, with 13 All-Conference finishes and and 12 All-Conference Honorable Mention finishes. The Fusion are on fire!! Let's goooooo!!!
