Last Tuesday, our Melrose Lady Dutchmen Gymnasts took on the Albany Huskies and shined, posting a 142.0 Varsity score and a 128.6 JV score! Making the night even more special was: the girls from both team asked for a picture together, warming the hearts of all coaches. The Dutchmen and Huskies trained together one day this past summer, and they continue to build friendships that will go beyond the competition floor. #DutchmenPride

On December 10, 2025, a Melrose Knowledge Bowl team consisting of Eric Sundermann, Andrue Stalboerger, Ramona Lurken-Tvrdik. Logan Kelzer, and Elyse Hellermann competed in the 30-20-10 National Online Competition. There were 355 high schools competing, including one from Honduras and one from Costa Rica. The 30-20-10 competition uses the following procedure. You are presented with a question. If you get it right on the first try, your team receives 30 points, second try 20 points, and third try 10 points. Points are never deducted for wrong answers. Teams were given two hours to complete 80 questions. Teams needed to finish in the top 50% to advance to the next level. Melrose tied for 79 place, qualifying Melrose to advance as that was the top 23% of teams competing. Melrose and Roseville are the only two MN schools advancing. Melrose advances with a score of 1320, and Roseville with a score of 1210. The next level of competition will be the end of May/early June. #DutchmenPride
