The MFT (Melrose Federation of Teachers) spent a few hours spring cleaning their adopted highway this week. It was a good reminder that small acts can have a big impact on our community.

Melrose Area Schools enjoyed the Pep Fest yesterday, celebrating our Knowledge Bowl Team!
After 35 questions, the students going to the State Meet were the clear winners! Kudos to the staff & students who competed in this fun event!
We are thinking of our Knowledge Bowl Team today & are hoping they have fun as they get ready for their competition!
State Participants include: Zach Nelson, Logan Kelzer, Eric Sundermann, Nina Prout, Andrue Stalboerger, Ramona Lurken-Tvrdik.
This fabulous team is coached by Dave Hoyt and Bill Leraas.

Congratulations to Senior, James Rieland, who played Hockey with our Northstars Team. At the end of the season hockey banquet, James was honored with the Hobey Baker High School Character Award. Each participating high school can nominate one senior player for this prestigious recognition, which celebrates student-athletes who exemplify the core values that defined Hobey Baker: integrity, teamwork, commitment, strength of character, leadership, and sportsmanship.
In recognition of this achievement, James attended a special dinner and award ceremony on April 2, alongside other recipients from across the state, followed by a Minnesota Wild game.

Melrose Area Speech Team competed in the Fairmont Finale on March 28th, and our team earned 1st place overall, with six individual champions! This final invitational of the season was both super fun and challenging. Now, we're pumped to head into the postseason, with Subsections coming up in two weeks! ⏳🏆
